Guys. Seriously take note here. If you are planning to propose, or even thinking about it, PLEASE hire a photographer to capture that once in a lifetime moment! Trust me, your future fiance will love you even more for it. This young man contacted me a week before his trip to The Tipsy Pearl stay on Folly Beach with his girlfriend. He was going to propose on the beach and wanted me to capture the moment. Let me tell you, this was one of the most special sessions I have done yet. Yes, I had a tear or two! But the best part about this shoot... she said YES!

About, mmm, a year or so ago, give or take, I received an email from a local fashion blogger semi new to the area. She was looking for a local photographer for her style blog images. We didn't know each other at all but decided to meet for an initial trial shoot and see if we were a good fit for each others work. Since that day, not only have Alexandria and I been making beautiful posts, but a new friendship was started! Well, today, that beautiful blogger, dancer, mama, fashionista, & friend is celebrating her birthday into a new era! I wish her all the joy and love today as she and her sweet family travels to DISNEY to celebrate! This is probably going to sound quite sad, but prior to our recent trip to Sanibel Isle Florida, my husband and I had not taken a vacation without the kids alone since our honeymoon 7 years ago. Life gets in the way..work, family, yada yada. So this year I decided to make all that change. I love to travel. I grew up traveling. It's in my blood to travel. My husband..not so much. Just a few short months ago (wow, seems like forever ago!) I shot a random email to a local Charleston blogger about the possibility of collaborating. Most of you know her simply as, The Charleston Weekender . After seeing her blog and Instagram I, just had to! Never even thinking I would get a reply, she immediately shot me an email back requesting to meet and get some ideas flowing! Oh. Em. Gee. I am positive by now you've heard the news. Travel + Leisure Magazine readers have voted our great city the 2016 #1 city in the world . In case you didn't see that, I said: THE WORLD! Whoo hoo! Total excitement going on over here!
