A Day at Boone Hall Plantation

All images copyright JenniferCollinsPhotography 2018 I have lived about 1.5 miles from  Boone Hall Plantation  for the past 4 years. It wasn’t until a few weeks ago I was able to experience this amazing place full of history and charm. Founded in 1861 by Englishman Major John Boone, Boone Hall Plantation is located in Mount Pleasant South Carolina just off of Highway 17. It is home to intriguing southern history, beautiful grounds, and the location of several movie locations including The Notebook, North and South, and Alex Haley’s Queen.  Top image by me, bottom image scene from The Notebook. Tickets were $24 for ages 13-64 yrs and included: Entry to Boone Hall Plantation down the world famous Avenue of Oaks Plantation House Tour Black History In America Exhibit Plantation Coach Tour (weather permitting) Slave Street and History Tour Exploring The Gul

With everything from the convenient pool, easy parking, continental breakfast to the friendly and helpful staff! Not to mention the hotels private beach just across the street! Stay tuned for a full detailed post of our stay coming soon! Which brings us to.. Vilano Beach! This beach was so beautiful and relaxing! The sand in some areas was actually sea shells! Def
