It wasn’t until a few weeks ago I was able to experience this amazing place full of history and charm. Founded in 1861 by Englishman Major John Boone, Boone Hall Plantation is located in Mount Pleasant South Carolina just off of Highway 17. It is home to intriguing southern history, beautiful grounds, and the location of several movie locations including The Notebook, North and South, and Alex Haley’s Queen.
