Taco Tuesday: Savannah Style!

Tuesday is the most favored weekday in my household. Not only is it acting class day for my smallest mini at Charleston Stage, but it's..you guessed it.. TACO TUESDAY. Seriously, it's a big deal in our house. We absolutely love to make & prep the tacos together and enjoy the fam time. Unfortunately, with busy schedules, we don't always get to make homemade tacos every Tuesday, especially when we are traveling! Those nights take us out to some pretty fabulous taco joints.

Recently while in Savannah, Georgia, I had the pleasure of enjoying some of the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had! Tequila's Town has two locations: on Whitaker St Downtown and on Skidaway Rd, both in Savannah. I met with the owner, Melody, who was kind enough to give me some of the restaurants history and heritage. They pride themselves on creating genuine Mexican recipes.  One thing I really loved about this restaurant is that they partner with local farms to bring fresh and local, high quality ingredients right to your table. She also gave us some amazing dinner & drink recommendations!

We started off with some cocktails from the bar, made with their own in house brand of Tequila! We enjoyed the Prickly Pear Margarita (my favorite!) made with tequila, orange liqueur, prickly pear cactus “tuna” juice and fresh lime served on the rocks. Another table favorite was the Jalapeno Margarita which comes hand shaken and made with fresh jalapeños and top shelf tequila.

Our trip wouldn't have been complete without the Table Side Guacamole. Fresh Mexican avocados with your preferred ingredients and spice level, made this a huge hit for us. Want extra spicy, you got it! Need less salt, no problem! Prepared right there at your table side just the way you want it!

And then..it was meal time! Here was our menu:

Literally, so good. This will definitely be a return spot for us, not only on Taco Tuesdays, but any day we are visiting Savannah! If you ever find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out! And do try a house margarita.. they are pretty amazing!

2 Best Friends + 2 High Schools = GRADUATION

This time 14 YEARS ago, yours truly was preparing for life after graduation. It seems so unreal. I can remember getting our outfits together for graduation pictures and deciding what time we were going to meet because of course we had to go together! We would meet that day at our high school, stand posed for outdoor "casual" photos first, then head to the library for our "formal" shots. I am pretty sure that is the same routine now a days. BUT not for these lovely ladies! Last weekend, I met these two beautiful young ladies, best friends graduating from 2 different high schools. We met at Mepkin Abbey  in Monks Corner SC. What an amazing setting as you can see! I had no problem getting laughs from these two and their true personalities came pouring out in each image! They just flowed together so well, I could see why they were best friends! I had so much fun with these young ladies and a HUGE Congrats to them on their graduation! Aren't they b

Lipstik Girls!

Bethany had an amazing opportunity to model for  Lipstik Girls Clothing  2014 Elisa B. line! From the time she began working with  Gooma Models  she has wanted to work with this company. Their clothing line for young girls is simply stunning. I was super excited for her to have this opportunity! We chose a downtown / urban style setting for this shoot. I must tell you IT WAS HOT! We were roasting. We kept pushing on and after a few hours, we had finished this amazing shoot. UPDATE: The first image was listed on Itsy.com for Lipstik Girls / Elisa B. clothing. Shreek! You girls truly deserved it!
