A Night at the Andaz Hotel, Savannah!

I am a sucker for a historical city. Living in Charleston I truly appreciate the beauty of historical buildings & streets. So when the opportunity came for a weekend trip to Savannah, GA for a photo shoot for Jackson Spalding / Toyota, I jumped on it! I had been to Savannah once before for just a day trip but was excited to have more time to explore the beautiful streets!

When we arrived at our hotel, I was blown away by it's beauty! The Andaz Hotel Savannah, located at 14 Bernard St in Savannah, showcases a very modern style for it's exterior. It was situated right at Ellis Square, which I was pretty excited about! Smack in the middle of  downtown with plenty of restaurants, shopping, & sightseeing all within walking distance! We spend all weekend (when we weren't working of course) walking and exploring these beautiful streets!

When we arrived to our room, I was not disappointed.
The king bed was complete with down comforter & pillows, perfection after a long day of shooting!

The view from our room. Just to the left was a spectacular view of Ellis Square. After we returned back that evening, we spent some time gazing from this window over at Ellis Square where people were enjoying the evening music & lights coming from several nearby restaurants & bars!

..plenty of reading material..

...plenty of refreshments courtesy of the hotel. The mini fridge also had plenty of can Coke & bottled water as well. .

The bathroom: well stocked with soaps, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, towels,
toilet paper, and even face cleansing wipes.

Other amenities for the Standard Room include:
    • Complimentary minibar with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages
    • Complimentary wireless internet
    • Complimentary local phone calls
    • Local bath toiletries
    • Lush king-size bed, crisp linens
    • Modern bathroom with walk-in shower
    • Soothing bath amenities for lounging
    • Lighted make-up mirror and hair dryer
    • In-room laptop safe
    • In-room Cuisinart® Two-To-Go coffeemaker
    • Cordless telephone
    • Ample work space with ergonomic chair
    • 42" flat panel television
    • MP3 docking station, alarm clock, radio and sound machine
    • Blackout drapes
    • Personal climate control
    • Iron & ironing board
    • Luggage rack

The hotels lobby decor also had a very modern style feel. There was a bar upon entry to the lobby with several separated waiting / sitting areas. The large windows had a spectacular view of the Square just outside.  The perfect spot while you wait for your car to be brought around!

The Terrace was the perfect spot to wind down after a long day of shooting (& exploring!)
and catch up on some edits, emails, & social media. Enjoy a cocktail poolside,
cozy up in a cabana, or enjoy the fire pit!

In the morning we enjoyed a nice coffee in bed with a little work on the side, before getting the day started.

Afterward, we took advantage of the hotels own farm - to - fork eatery located on the first floor, 22 Square Restaurant. They offer southern style cuisine using organic and fresh local produce, fish & meats.  We started our day with the amazing breakfast buffet offering fruits, pastries, meats, and cereals. They even had a grits & oatmeal section with several toppings to choose from!

We wrapped up our stay Sunday afternoon. Our stay at Andaz was pretty amazing. The staff were more than kind and very accommodating to any needs we had. Should you ever find yourself planning a trip to historic Savannah, be sure you check them out. I actually can't wait to head back and stay with them again real soon!

2 Best Friends + 2 High Schools = GRADUATION

This time 14 YEARS ago, yours truly was preparing for life after graduation. It seems so unreal. I can remember getting our outfits together for graduation pictures and deciding what time we were going to meet because of course we had to go together! We would meet that day at our high school, stand posed for outdoor "casual" photos first, then head to the library for our "formal" shots. I am pretty sure that is the same routine now a days. BUT not for these lovely ladies! Last weekend, I met these two beautiful young ladies, best friends graduating from 2 different high schools. We met at Mepkin Abbey  in Monks Corner SC. What an amazing setting as you can see! I had no problem getting laughs from these two and their true personalities came pouring out in each image! They just flowed together so well, I could see why they were best friends! I had so much fun with these young ladies and a HUGE Congrats to them on their graduation! Aren't they b

Lipstik Girls!

Bethany had an amazing opportunity to model for  Lipstik Girls Clothing  2014 Elisa B. line! From the time she began working with  Gooma Models  she has wanted to work with this company. Their clothing line for young girls is simply stunning. I was super excited for her to have this opportunity! We chose a downtown / urban style setting for this shoot. I must tell you IT WAS HOT! We were roasting. We kept pushing on and after a few hours, we had finished this amazing shoot. UPDATE: The first image was listed on Itsy.com for Lipstik Girls / Elisa B. clothing. Shreek! You girls truly deserved it!
