A Weekend at The Ivey's Hotel in Charlotte NC!

An icon of beauty & excellence! That is the perfect way to describe this newer boutique hotel located in the heart of uptown Charlotte, NC. The Ivey's Hotel will amaze you with it's elegance & charm bringing Parisian glam and contemporary touches together. I had the pleasure of spending the weekend there with Paper Meets Pearl while working on commercial work in Charlotte. 



"The Ivey’s Hotel is the result of an extensive, multi-million dollar renovation. Carefully preserved, the building’s landmark characteristics sparked the vision to create a luxury boutique property that evokes the history of Charlotte and surpasses all expectations for distinguished travelers.
Charlotte was originally built at the crossroads of two Native American trading paths – Trade and Tryon. The Ivey’s Hotel is located one block away from this historic intersection, which is still the heart of Charlotte’s Uptown central business district and entertainment zone.
Famed architect William H. Peeps originally designed the historic Ivey’s building, which debuted in the early 1900s as the home of J.B. Ivey & Company Department Store."





Our room was located on the second floor at the corners of Tryon & W 5th Street with 2 large windows for viewing. We thoroughly enjoyed our downtime watching the street goers!

The Library Lounge.
Located on the second floor of the hotel, the Library lounge offers the perfect spot to stop in and grab a complimentary coffee or wine while reading the paper or enjoying the solitude. We stopped in before we headed out each morning and were greeted with an array of coffee, juices, fruits, pastries, & yogurts. The perfect way to start our busy days!


And did I mention The Ivey's is pet friendly?!

A Rainy Day Agenda! { Charleston Photography }

It's surely not uncommon to say as a Charlestonion,  "It's raining! I guess we will have to wait for our girls day out!" Well Ashley and Liz say don't let those rainy Charleston weekends ruin your day! These lovely ladies showed me a few places right downtown sure to brighten your rainy day blues!  Eclectic Cafe & Vinyl This cafe was such a cool spot. Grab an espresso (or my case, iced coffee) and a book, or get lost in conversation in the couch area. There is also the coolest little corner hosting a record player with an amazing selection of vinyls. Slap on those headphones and get lost in the music! Gnome Cafe This cafe is such a ray of sunshine! Literally! The inside is so lovely with brightly colored decor, it's sure to bring sunshine to even the rainiest day. Go Y'all, It's Game Day! {Charleston Photography}

It's game day y'all and Reese Witherspoon's company, Draper James , has the perfect tailgate gear to cheer on your team! I am so crushing on this Go Y'all Clutch , complete with a detachable chain.
