The Dennis Family { Charleston Family Photographer }

A few years ago I had the pleasure of shooting the Dennis family's very first photo shoot as a family of four. Wow, seems like yesterday! A few weeks ago, I did their second family of four shoot! I could not believe how much those beautiful children had grown! One of my absolute favorite things about my life as a photographer is growing with the family's that allow me to capture their lives! To me, this is such a blessing knowing how much they trust me to capture their special memories! That being said, here are some highlights from our 2016 spring session with the Dennis family!

Bridget + James, Engaged! { Charleston / Mount Pleasant SC Photography }

Bridget and James wanted to have their engagement session somewhere that was special to them: Pitt Street Bridge, Mount Pleasant, SC. This was the place James took Bridget on their very first date. I was so excited to be a part of this with them, how sweet and special! We had the absolute best time during this shoot. As you can see in the images, they truly bring out the best in each other! I am so excited to capture their wedding events this year!

The Tipsy Pearl { Charleston / Folly Beach Home Photography }

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing an in home photo shoot for Kathleen. It was a combination of personal portraits for her, as well as shots of her beach home, The Tipsy Pearl . This lovely amazing home in Folly Beach, SC is featured on Airbnb . This was actually the first time I have ever heard of Airbnb but what an amazing site! If you love to travel and haven't checked it, do it now! I was in heaven shooting Kathleen & her stunning gem. Check it out for yourself! And if you are planning a trip to Folly, check out the Tipsy Pearl on Airbnb !

Childhood Battle Scars: A Survival Story.

This post will be a little different than usual. This wont be a post about the images I captured with my lens and the beautiful subjects in front of it. This post is about me. Some of you may know I am a contributing writer for The Charleston Moms Blog . When it came time to post my April post, I was hesitant to hit the 'submit' button. You see,  April is Child Abuse Awareness Month. Many times I prayed to God for the right words to say in my story, and even more the courage to actually share it. It took me 6 mos for me to write this post and I read it probably 100 times before hitting submit. For the first time in my life, here's my story. I encourage you to take a few minutes to read and share it. Help raise awareness. Here's MY story...
