The Lady Behind the Lens

Let me introduce myself...

I am a Child of God, wife to an amazing man, & mother of 2 beautiful girls. I am a self taught photographer living in the great city of Charleston / Mount Pleasant SC. Everything about the art of photography amazes me. I am obsessed with it completely. As you can see on my blog, my website, & Facebook page I specialize in portraiture & fine art photography. However the passion does not stop there. If I like it, I shoot it. Anything from architecture to food and everything in between.

I am so blessed for everyone who believed in me and pushed me to reach for my dreams. I thank God every single day for blessing me with this talent. Hope you will enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it
"Our talent is God's gift to us. How we use it is our gift to God."

Joining me for this crazy ride I call life is my amazing family!
My husband is the ONLY man on this planet that would able to ride this wild ride with me and make it out alive! He is my gym buddy, horror movie sidekick, make me laugh when I'm feeling yuck, keeps me going, spontaneous living, motorcycle ridin' man.
With just works...

...and these two beauties are why we tie it all together.

This life  may be a crazy life, but it's our crazy life.

  1. I now know why I chose you to photograph the most important pictures of my oldest daughters high school career. I have no doubt whatsoever you are the one. See you in March, Good Lord willing.

    1. I absolutely LOVED working with your beautiful family!

2 Best Friends + 2 High Schools = GRADUATION

This time 14 YEARS ago, yours truly was preparing for life after graduation. It seems so unreal. I can remember getting our outfits together for graduation pictures and deciding what time we were going to meet because of course we had to go together! We would meet that day at our high school, stand posed for outdoor "casual" photos first, then head to the library for our "formal" shots. I am pretty sure that is the same routine now a days. BUT not for these lovely ladies! Last weekend, I met these two beautiful young ladies, best friends graduating from 2 different high schools. We met at Mepkin Abbey in Monks Corner SC. What an amazing setting as you can see! I had no problem getting laughs from these two and their true personalities came pouring out in each image! They just flowed together so well, I could see why they were best friends! I had so much fun with these young ladies and a HUGE Congrats to them on their graduation!

Aren't they beauties?! What year…

Tavolo: A Taste of Italian in Charlotte!

Tavolo: A family style Italian restaurant in the uptown area of Charlotte, NC. Located at 300 North College Street, Tavolo offers fine Italian dining, wood fired pizzas, wine & cocktails, and more! Enjoy a seat at the full service bar, upstairs, or a traditional table in the downstairs dining area!

I recently had the pleasure of tasting this amazing restaurant for myself while working  in Charlotte with Kelly of Paper Meets Pearl
We started our trip to Tavolo with a few choice martini cocktails:  • the Fragola: vodka, simple syrup, sour mix, fresh strawberries & basil • the Bacio Del Limone: Prosecco, house made Limoncello, fresh raspberries

As we enjoyed these delicious house martinis, we decided to add a few appetizers into the mix.
• Carpaccio De Manzo: thinly sliced beef tenderloin topped with sea salt,  cracked black pepper, olive oil, arugula & asiago!

• Calamari Alla Diavolo: fried squid with roasted & cherry peppers,  served with marinara.

Amber: Charleston Senior Session 2017

Congratulations to this beautiful young lady on her Class of 2017 High School Graduation! I had the pleasure of capturing her senior portraits here in Charleston earlier this year. She, along with her family, came all the way from Tennessee to meet me downtown and capture these special memories! It is always a pleasure to meet my new families and get to know them as we spend hours together making magic.
Amber, you are a beautiful lady and I wish all the best for you at University of Tennessee!  See you again in CHS soon!
