The Coolest Superhero!

I met this super cool little guy a few weeks ago during some fall mini sessions. He honestly wasn't feeling like being Superman that day but he was totally feelin' his sunglasses! I got him to warm up to me after a little bit and with Mom & Dads help, I was able to snag some adorable images! Go on, see for yourself!

Kayak Kafe {Savannah GA}

Last month I had the pleasure of spending the weekend in Savannah, GA for the first time. Being from Charleston, there are two things I am obsessed with: historic surroundings & trying new food joints. Savannah has both so it was literally a win win for me. While in Savannah I had the pleasure of dining at the Kayak Kafe . With 2 Savannah locations, one central downtown, and the other in the midtown, there is no reason for you to miss this place! The midtown location is decorated in a modern style with a casual vibe.  Kayak is also locally owned and I was fortunate enough to meet with the owner, Monique. She was kind enough to tell us a bit about their cafe and offer some amazing lunch options! With a wide range from fresh salads, to tacos, to sandwiches, there is surely something for everyone's taste buds!  Kayak's Commitment to their customers: "Kayak is proud to serve Springer Mountain Farms Antibiotic & Hormone-Free Chicken, locally caught

A {Rainy} Table Rock Weekend

For those of you that know me know how much I love exploring new places. When that exploring means hiking.. with waterfalls.. I am in love. You probably won't believe this but last August during our vacation to the North Carolina Mountains was the first time I had ever seen a waterfall in person. I know, crazy right. But from that moment on, you can say I was pretty much hooked. I mean, who wouldn't be?! Last October (2015) we decided to spend the weekend exploring new mountains, hiking, and you guessed it- waterfalls. Table Rock State Park, South Carolina . This weekend just happened to occur the very weekend South Carolina had the Historic Flood . Now, yes, we were four hours from home in Charleston so yes, we thought we would be fine. And we were.. except even in Table Rock, four hours away, it rained. And rained. And rained! All - weekend - long (until Sunday when it was time to head home.. naturally). We, being the faithful explorers that we are, were not about to

Hello Sunshine! {Nectar Sunglasses}

When it comes to the sunshine, I'm all about it! But after years of working in the dark as an ophthalmic surgical technologist before my photography business took off, on top of editing in the dark for years thereafter, my eyes are so so light sensitive. If I'm outdoors even on an overcast day, I gotta have my sunnies! Not to mention to trough on when someone says "Lets take a selfie!".. gotta cover those crows feet somehow! Living in Charleston, we are all about shopping local and supporting local businesses. I recently learned that one of my favorite sunglass companies is based right here in, you guessed it, CHARLESTON! Recently named #1 city in Conde Nast Traveler Magazine for the 6th year in a row by the way! Pretty proud local over here!. Nectar Sunglasses are based here in Charleston and sold worldwide! They have so many styles, colors, and prices it's too hard to pick just one pair. Here are a few of my personal favorite styles I wanted to share
