Sisters, Love, & Graduation!

I had the opportunity to meet two amazing young ladies a few weeks ago. They were stunning & not to mention hilarious! Two sisters, both in the graduating class of 2014. Big sister will be a college graduate of 2014 while baby sister will be a high school graduate of 2014. I thought 'what a special thing that both sisters could celebrate their accomplishments together!'. I am so thankful to have the opportunity to capture these ladies for this special time. I am so excited for these ladies and can not wait until we shoot again!

2 Best Friends + 2 High Schools = GRADUATION

This time 14 YEARS ago, yours truly was preparing for life after graduation. It seems so unreal. I can remember getting our outfits together for graduation pictures and deciding what time we were going to meet because of course we had to go together! We would meet that day at our high school, stand posed for outdoor "casual" photos first, then head to the library for our "formal" shots. I am pretty sure that is the same routine now a days. BUT not for these lovely ladies! Last weekend, I met these two beautiful young ladies, best friends graduating from 2 different high schools. We met at Mepkin Abbey  in Monks Corner SC. What an amazing setting as you can see! I had no problem getting laughs from these two and their true personalities came pouring out in each image! They just flowed together so well, I could see why they were best friends! I had so much fun with these young ladies and a HUGE Congrats to them on their graduation! Aren't they b...

Pretty in Pink!

Bethany had the opportunity to model for Woobie Wear & Lisa B. a few weeks ago. We wanted an outdoor garden type setting for this shoot and this was the perfect spot. We decided on an evening session to take advantage of the beautiful sun set sky and the colors it creates. So glad we did. Bethany looked stunning (as always) and she did an amazing job (as usual). I can not wait to see her in print!

Cassie!

I was beyond honored to shoot this beautiful young lady. She, along with her mom & aunt, came all the way from Fayetteville NC to see me for this session. She was simply stunning and super sweet. At the beginning, mom & her aunt told me they were going to let us have at it while they explored the grounds. After an hour of shooting and chatting, I felt like I had a new friend. This girl was so amazing. I can not wait to work with this beauty again.  After her shoot I received this message from her mom : "I cannot say enough about Jennifer's talent and ability to make her clients feel at ease during the shoot. She encouraged my daughter through her first ever photo shoot of this kind and made the day a memorable experience for her to treasure for a lifetime. Wish there were more stars to give as she deserves way more than 5 for sure!!!!!" I was truly honored to have been a part of this special moment for this young lady.

Addilyn is THREE!

I know I am a few posts behind so bear with me as I play catch up the next few days! That being said, Last Sunday, I had a shoot downtown with a cute lil blonde who just happens to be turning THREE! Oh my, where has the time gone?! I remember shooting her Mommy's maternity session like it was yesterday! Then her hospital session, newborn...1st birthday...2nd. Yep. I adore this little Miss. She is only up for her sessions for oh about 15 min so we hav eto get it while the gettin's good as they say! I would have to say, she did a fatastic job! Did I mention it was COLD! So, here she is... Miss Addilyn, the 3 year old!

Happy Heart Day

As I scrolled through Facebook a few minutes ago, I saw a post from a friend that reminded me of something I in fact told my own husband when we started dating 8 years ago: "Don't ever buy me flowers on Valentine's Day." And in 8 years...he hasn't. Now, I love a sweet sursie on V-Day as much as the next girl don't get me wrong, but I have to be honest in saying that I would much rather get something I'll enjoy a whole lot more than flowers that, although they are pretty, will be long gone in a week. And no I don't mean a box of candy either. Dinner is always a nice idea, however, dinner out on Valentines day?! Get real. Not unless you want to wait for hours on a table, which I don't. Last year I got a massage. Amazing Valentine's Day gift idea, props to him for that one! Yes, technically after an hour it was long gone too but at it felt wonderful while it was happening. And I know it's terrible but as much as I needed it, I waited 6 mon...

Winter Storm 2014, x2

Yikes! Another winter storm here in South Carolina. Twice within 2 weeks. Did I mention how much I am NOT a cold weather person?! Well in case you wern't aware, I'm not. Of course what kid doesn't love a snow day? Mine are no exception. And I do love playing with them for a little bit for a day, maybe two. A few minutes of snow playing then this mama is ready to cuddle up with a warm blanket, and maybe some hot cocoa with the girls. Maybe its my Southern roots. Lets face it, here in the south we are just not used to this kind of weather. Give me the warm sunny weather any day! Sure hope Mother Nature plans to bring on the Spring time soon! So, heres a recap of home from the last winter storm we had, just 2 weeks ago!
