Addilyn Celebrates with Sofia!

'I can not believe what I am shooting' I thought as I attended this Sofia the First birthday party. It seemed like only yesterday I was doing this little ladies newborn session. But yep, much to my surprise, Miss Addilyn was turning the big 4. So, that being said, lets take a quick flashback to four itty bitty years ago...

... sweet baby girl. Ahh I remember this day like yesterday. Ok ok enough sappiness, back to the celebration! Addilyn's mommy, also named Jennifer might I add (what can I's a great name :), did an amazing job with her little ladies celebration. Sofia the First themed so of course, purple & pink flowed everywhere! It was an outdoor party and a tad windy at times, but we made it work! Mom mad a book made of Addilyn's year as a 3 year old and had it on display for everyone to see. What an amazing idea! She also made crown sugar cookies, which I originally thought she had bought at a bakery, for guest favors. Super cute!

Aaaannnd the cake! Oh my it was stunning! Cake made by Jennifer's friend Tina.. and Tina you did a fab job!

A Sofia the First birthday party would not be complete without a surprise visit from the Princess herself! Sofia made a stop by to see Addilyn on her way back to the palace!  I must admit this was my first time meeting Sofia and she was simply stunning. The children loved her! { Sofia courtesy of Glass Slipper Solutions }

This was such a fun party! I am super happy to have been a part of making Addilyn's birthday celebration memorable!

See ya next year!

2 Best Friends + 2 High Schools = GRADUATION

This time 14 YEARS ago, yours truly was preparing for life after graduation. It seems so unreal. I can remember getting our outfits together for graduation pictures and deciding what time we were going to meet because of course we had to go together! We would meet that day at our high school, stand posed for outdoor "casual" photos first, then head to the library for our "formal" shots. I am pretty sure that is the same routine now a days. BUT not for these lovely ladies! Last weekend, I met these two beautiful young ladies, best friends graduating from 2 different high schools. We met at Mepkin Abbey in Monks Corner SC. What an amazing setting as you can see! I had no problem getting laughs from these two and their true personalities came pouring out in each image! They just flowed together so well, I could see why they were best friends! I had so much fun with these young ladies and a HUGE Congrats to them on their graduation!

Aren't they beauties?! What year…

Taco Tuesday: Savannah Style!

Tuesday is the most favored weekday in my household. Not only is it acting class day for my smallest mini at Charleston Stage, but it' guessed it.. TACO TUESDAY. Seriously, it's a big deal in our house. We absolutely love to make & prep the tacos together and enjoy the fam time. Unfortunately, with busy schedules, we don't always get to make homemade tacos every Tuesday, especially when we are traveling! Those nights take us out to some pretty fabulous taco joints.

Recently while in Savannah, Georgia, I had the pleasure of enjoying some of the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had! Tequila's Town has two locations: on Whitaker St Downtown and on Skidaway Rd, both in Savannah. I met with the owner, Melody, who was kind enough to give me some of the restaurants history and heritage. They pride themselves on creating genuine Mexican recipes.  One thing I really loved about this restaurant is that they partner with local farms to bring fresh and local, h…

2016 - Behind The Scenes!

Happy New Years! I am so thankful & blessed for a pretty amazing 2016. I have had the most fantastic clients a photographer could ask for, met some truly awesome people, and had the most amazing business opportunities I would have NEVER imagined would cross my path. So, I'm not making any NY resolutions this year, only goals for an even better 2017!

Some might think my shoots are all fun & games... and they're right! I always have the nicest, most laid back clients (to date) and that makes for a killer shoot. We laugh, we joke, sometimes we dance, sometimes we act silly, and sometimes we even cry (well, the little ones anyway).. But one things for sure- we always create magic. Here are just a few behind the scene looks from 2016. Here's to an amazing 2017!

Gettin' silly with it!
Sometimes it takes a little time to warm up to the situation..
Sometimes we get distracted..
When Daddy does silly things to make you laugh and then... you're DONE!

However many it takes …
